Idaho Winters

The wind is crazy and always blows the snow up into our porch
This was the view from my front door. The kids and I ended up having a snow day. School was cancelled and there were so much snow and so many drifts that I couldn't go anywhere either!
Cody and Gavin plowed the driveway the night before and you can't even tell.
This was a few days later. The wind start to blow the drifts back as soon as the plows went by.

 The "road" in our neighborhood
Our side yard. The fence is 6 feet tall!!
More drifts and wind in our neighborhood

This was our drive home after mutual. Can we say blizzard??

Rush Funplex

Crystal (a travel RN) at work told me about this place in Syracuse which is close to Layton where Chloe's appt was. After lunch we surprised the kids and took them. They had no idea this was happening. I was so giddy for them.
I figured we would be there for a few hours, but we ended up being there just over 8 hours!! It went by so fast though and we all had so much fun!
They had 33 bowling lanes, black light mini golf, Laser Tag, bumper cars, rock climbing walls, foam pit, roller skating ring and the entire 2nd level was a black light Go Kart track! Everything was all inclusive except for the arcade and food. The kids would play one thing until they got sick of it and would move on to another. They hardly fought about anything and I didn't hear one "I'm bored" the entire day! (Please let Disneyland go this well!)
I swear she is not human!! I could never do this!
Chloe's first rock wall experience

 He was so determined!

 There went my first dollar!
Mason was the first one to head over to the red and white walls. They were almost twice as high as the blue ones.
 ...and another dollar...
 and another....
 ...and another...
Mason was holding up 3 fingers. They were all so timid at the beginning that I told them I would given them a dollar every time I saw them touch the top. I ended up around $20 poorer by the end of the night!
Mason and Chloe weren't able to drive the larger go karts upstairs so they were pretty excited when we found these.
 Bumper cars
She is so much braver than I ever thought she would be.

 Skating with my boys
Mason spent the first part of our skating on the floor. He kept falling down over and over again, but every time he would fall, he would get right back up again. I told him I was so proud of him for getting up every time he fell.
I love it when Cody takes pictures of me with the kids.

Gavin was one more car back and I couldn't see him

All of us except Gavin ended up on the red team

 Last skate of the day!
(Chloe's face!! hahaha)
Gavin didn't think that I would be able to rock climb and I wanted to show him otherwise so bad!! I can too!! But, I remembered the last time he dared me (think 3rd platform at Lava and a displaced sacrum) so I resisted.
Well, I threw on some skated and decided to skate the last skate with them. I ended up loosing my footing, my skates went out from under me and BAM!! I hit the ground, HARD!! Cody said I just laid there for a minute, but I don't remember that part so it must have knocked me out for a minute. I remember blacking out for a second and my left hand going numb from hitting my elbow so hard and the pain! My hip and neck hurt sooo bad!! I managed to get back up and skate off the floor with Cody's help. Then I just laid on the picnic table wanting to puke because I hurt so bad.
After awhile I was still hurting so bad that I actually started googling hotels near me because I didn't think I could make the drive home.
I finally started feeling better and the kids were done skating at that point so we let them go play some arcades while I rested a little more. I could walk, but it hurt. It got to the point where I was OK as long as I was sitting so we headed for home.
It was after 9 and there wasn't much left open so we stopped at Burger King for dinner. We found the funnest round bench in the corner to eat. We finally started our 3 hour drive home around 9:30 pm. I had no idea when we left this morning that we wouldn't be coming home until the next day! haha! Other than my tangle with the skating rink floor, we had a good day!

Chloe's Leg

Chloe  had another check up on her leg today. We scheduled it at the satellite office in Layton to save us some time and mileage. She of course had to take her new OMG doll with her.
Before Dr Holmes came in Chloe put her doll on the table and she hid under the bed and had us pretend that Chloe was the doll/the doll was the patient. Dr Holmes played along until Chloe couldn't contain her giggling and hopped out from under the bed.
We were busting up about her silly shorts!
The x-ray on the left looks terrible, but it's actually really good news! The plate on her tibia is stopping the growth of her medial growth plate and her femur has healed up amazingly from the surgery. YAY!! (remember they essentially cut it in half and put it back together again).
Once she is ready for the lengthening rod, Dr Holmes with turn us over to her new partner who has extensive knowledge and experience with them. I hope we like him as much as we like her!

Happy New Years and Happy 9th Birthday Chloe!

We went to Thurgood's for their New Years Eve party, but Megan is very pregnant and needs her sleep so we celebrated the "New Year" just after 8 pm and then we headed home. Chloe was determined to stay up until midnight for two reasons:
1- She wanted too and this was a good excuse
2- She wanted to open one of her birthday presents

We watched the Mandalorian while decorating the table and setting up her photo booth for her birthday. Just before midnight I got out all the hats, blowers, poppers, noise makers I bought and passed them out as well as filled our glassed with Sparkling Apple Cider.
I found a website that had the countdown, but just before midnight when I got on again it wouldn't load! Booo!! So instead I set the alarm for midnight on my phone and we used the second hand on my apple watch to countdown. It was still just as fun!
 Happy New Year!!
These pictures never turn out how you think they will!!
Sometimes though, they are even better!! ha ha
 Cheers!
Did I mention we did the poppers inside?!?! They made a mess of the living room which I didn't really mind, it was the SMELL that I forgot about!! Oops!
Chloe picked her smallest present to open which happened to be from Mason.
It was a bag of sparkly rings. She was pretty excited.
 New Years photo bomb!
 She loved them.

Sometime this morning Chloe came upstairs to our bed. We told her Happy Birthday and then she crawled into bed with us and promplty fell back asleep. She didn't wake up again until almost 10:30 am!! Grandma Blakely called multiple times to sing to her, but she was always sleeping.
She wanted to have a Galaxy Birthday party. I tried my best to make her cake look like a galaxy. I'm not going to show you what it was really suppose to look like!
Her photo booth
She picked out all the colors and decorations.
She even picked out props for the photo booth!
 Gavin even joined in
 I can't believe she is really 9!

Chloe requested we go swimming for her birthday at Heise Hot Springs. They remodeled the dressing rooms and they are so nice AND WARM!! Also- they finally got rid of the butt showing curtain that have been there since I was born!
 My world...
Chloe insisted that Keylee come. We invited the whole family.
Mason, Braxton, Chloe, Gavin, Faith and Keylee
I figured since we got a picture with all the kids we should get one with all of the adults...
...we are busting up because we couldn't all fit!!
 I need longer arms!
 Practicing Cheer in the pool
 Keylee

Afterwards we went to Heise Pizza. The "kids" (Cody included) went downstairs to play the arcades while we waited for the pizza to cook.

Chloe got and OMG doll from Keylee. She was pretty excited.
Kenny, Mandy, Faith, Braxton, Keylee, Grandma & Grandpa Blakely and our family were all there. After pizza I ordered ice cream for everyone. It was so much fun.
Chloe has been wanting a chair like this for her room for almost a year. I found a cute bunny one at Sam's Club on sale and was so excited. I wish I had a picture of just the chair. It's so fluffy and has the cutest bunny face on it
She wanted to pose in front of her photo booth in her chair

 Happy 9th Birthday baby girl!!
Mason wanted to join in on the action
